A little about Pad Printing
Conceptually, this is a really simple process that is reminiscent of the offset printing process used by folks who print your brochures and business cards.
The principal differences are that your printer company applies text and images to one-dimensional paper, whereas a pad printer applies text and images to three-dimensional objects. And where the offset process uses a steel cylinder to transfer the image, this relies on a flexible silicone “pad” to accomplish the transfer from the inked image source over to the object’s surface. (The industry insider technical term for this is called “smooshing”.)
Choose up to two colors from a full rainbow of inks.
The huge variety of objects can range from coffee mugs. golf balls, and key chains to computer mice, flashlights, and pocket knives. Or if you manufacture an object that can be imprinted to promote your brand or message, call Cotton Images.com to find out what it takes to get the item smooshed.
Price is affected by
- The quantity of items ordered.
- The number of colors used, because each ink color requires its own setup.
